3 Main Kinds of Ethics /Reasons
1. Kant’s Principle Ethics: negative conseqs. for neg actions. No mention of positive consequences. Designed for negative feedback (less and less change, less and less thought). Actually results in ignoring and · (not to mention self-deception, positive-negative “no shades of gray” dualities, rude awakenings, and inability to direct change in a positive direction), extreme compartmentalization, which is a [F] [H] or [H] [F] system in which actions are misguided, thought to be short-term aids to those who need it, but end up being short-term aids to those who already have things, and to those who make the decisions.
Since the ethincs come from the “top” in this system, those who own everything also control people, and as long as people are too Fearful to change traditions, the majority who use this Ethical system will be exploited. Moreover, since everyone who suffers is silent, any Love or Pity which seeps into the system which can be attacked from above is, the only assertive people are those who compete [Hate] and the only ones left to change the society are the weakest, most numerous people [those who Fear to do so]. The main problem with Principle Ethics is that it almost always focuses on negative things - negative consequences for certain negative actions - while offering multiple competing absolutist principles given by others, which most people don’t even need; they can see good things from bad things based one their own experience, and knowledge. This is at the exclusion of focusing on positive consequences for positive things, or neutralizing (without harming) those who do negative things (i.e., in jail or prison).
